GIS Solution Engineer – Public Safety

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Establish relationships by presenting, demonstrating, and facilitating the sale of Esri software and solutions as a member of the account team.

• Assist in the planning and execution of sales strategies.

• Attain expertise in Public Safety and become a technical authority in ArcGIS.

• Convey Esri technologies while anticipating customer requirements and pertinent technology trends.

• Develop and propose solutions that illustrate how GIS solves customer challenges and generates business value.

• Define and implement strategies that align Esri technology with customer business objectives.

• Deliver technical demonstrations of proposed solutions to both technical and non-technical audiences.

• Create presentations tailored for both technical and non-technical groups.

• Offer best practices for the use, deployment, and management of Esri technology.

• Speak at conferences and trade shows.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 5 years of relevant experience.

• More than 2 years of experience with Esri technology, including map creation, spatial analysis, and web application configuration.

• At least 1 year of experience in the Public Safety sector.

• Knowledge of ArcGIS from an IT perspective, encompassing hardware, storage, security, networking, web services, virtualization, and cloud computing.

• Experience in technical consulting and conceptual solution design.

• Familiarity with sales and business development processes.

• Proficient with geodatabases and the underlying DBMS technology.

• Understanding of cloud computing principles and environments, such as Microsoft Azure or AWS.

• Exceptional presentation, interpersonal, and listening abilities.

• Willingness to travel domestically or internationally 25-50% of the time.

• Bachelor’s degree in geography, computer science, or a related discipline.

• Must be a U.S. citizen.

• Must pass a background investigation.

• Must obtain and maintain the eligibility for security clearance for Secret, Top Secret (TS), TS/SCI, or TS/SCI with polygraph.

• Preferred: Ability to troubleshoot client issues related to Esri application deployment and system architecture.

• Preferred: Experience in integrating software solutions with data warehousing, BI, CRM, ERP, and analytics platforms.

• Preferred: Experience in merging real-time information streams with existing GIS data and IT infrastructure.

• Preferred: Basic understanding of artificial intelligence/machine learning principles.

• Preferred: Programming and scripting experience with Python and JavaScript.

• Preferred: Master’s degree in geography, computer science, or a related field.
