Georgian to English OPI/VRI Interpretation

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants anywhere in the world.

📋 Description

• Respond to calls in a professional manner, adhering to the Interpreter's code of conduct.

• Always be ready to take notes during a call.

• Possess knowledge of the specific vocabulary relevant to the industry in which the interpreter operates, particularly in healthcare and medical fields.

• Convey all messages accurately and completely, without any additions, omissions, or substitutions.

• Deliver the highest standard of customer service while interpreting.

• Facilitate communication between Limited English Proficient individuals and clients by providing accurate and complete interpretation of messages.

• Adhere to established standards of practice.

• Participate in internal professional training sessions.

• Show enthusiasm for obtaining new professional certifications.

• Communicate and report to your team leader regularly.

• Follow dress code guidelines for video remote interpreting.

⛳️ Requirements

• Fluent in the source language (English) and a native speaker of the target language "Georgian".

• At least 1 year of experience in telephone interpretation with a reputable interpretation service.

• Strong understanding of medical terminology.

• Familiarity with legal terminology is advantageous.

• International certifications in the healthcare sector are a plus (e.g., PICSI, ALTA, HIPAA, etc.).

• High school diploma in your native language.

• High emotional intelligence and an appreciation for diverse cultures.

• Excellent communication, listening, note-taking, and memory retention abilities.
