Generator Upgrades Value Stream Leader – Legacy Alstom Technologies

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States, +2 more countries.

📋 Description

• Take ownership of the complete performance, flow, and execution of the Generator Upgrades value stream, emphasizing legacy Alstom technologies.

• Convert customer requirements and business priorities into consistent project delivery, quality, lead time, cash flow, and margin results.

• Integrate order handover, engineering, sourcing, manufacturing, project execution, shipment/site execution, and closeout into a cohesive operating system.

• Identify and eliminate systemic constraints throughout engineering, procurement, suppliers, manufacturing, and site execution processes.

• Lead the operational rhythm of Value Stream Operations, which includes monthly value stream reviews and weekly execution/S&OE assessments.

• Set escalation thresholds, define decision rights, appoint owners, and establish closure dates for critical issues.

• Create forward-looking analytics and early-warning execution intelligence.

• Enhance end-to-end flow and lead time by utilizing value-stream mapping, critical-path analysis, WIP visibility, pull principles, buffer strategies, freeze windows, constraint management, and standard work practices.

• Guide Project Quality Managers and instill a zero-defect/right-first-time quality ethos across design, suppliers, manufacturing, releases, site execution, and lessons learned.

• Collaborate with teams across Project Management, Engineering, Supply Chain, Manufacturing, Quality, Commercial, Finance, and Field Services.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Operations, Supply Chain, Business, or a related field.

• Experience with complex engineered products, power generation, energy services, or project-based industrial settings.

• Proven leadership in managing cross-functional project portfolios or value streams.

• Demonstrated success in enhancing customer delivery, schedule predictability, lead time, quality, throughput, and/or financial performance.

• Strong grasp of project and portfolio execution, including integrated schedules, risk management, resource prioritization, critical-path management, project quality, and recovery strategies for challenged projects.

• Capability to lead through influence across organizational boundaries by using data, operational rhythms, and structured problem-solving techniques.

• Knowledge of value-stream management, flow, constraint management, and structured problem-solving approaches.

• Proficiency in influencing senior stakeholders while maintaining cross-functional relationships.
