General Manager, Venture & Private Equity

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Develop and manage Flex’s venture and private equity operations.

• Oversee sector strategy, relationship building, partnerships, product priorities, and profit & loss management.

• Position Flex as the leading financial institution for venture and private equity.

• Identify which relationships and partnerships can attract hundreds of owners to Flex.

• Establish product requirements necessary to secure venture and private equity clientele.

• Manage relationships with general partners, fund CFOs, operating partners, fund administrators, and fund-finance lenders.

• Create a sector coverage presentation that includes sector insights, owner banking needs, a market overview, initial three partnerships, investment and return strategies, as well as team planning.

• Report directly to the CEO.

⛳️ Requirements

• 7 to 12 years of experience in investment banking, private credit, private equity, venture, or a senior commercial role within venture and private equity.

• Proven track record of originating business rather than merely servicing it.

• Active network within the venture and private equity sectors.

• Strong understanding of financial flows within funds and their portfolio companies, including capital calls, distributions, portfolio treasury and credit, operating-partner priorities, and portfolio CFO needs.

• Proficient in structuring partnerships, negotiating referral economics, and navigating term sheets independently.

• Capable of building financial models independently.

• Advanced proficiency in Excel at a banker level.

• Solid understanding of the unit economics related to deposits, cards, and credit.

• Submission of a one-pager and CV as part of the application process.
