General Manager

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United Kingdom.

📋 Description

• Lead the creation and nationwide implementation of a scaffolding solution to support Octopus Energy Services.

• Ensure adherence to health and safety standards, regulations, and company protocols.

• Build and oversee a high-performing team, focusing on recruitment, training, and professional development.

• Execute projects safely, on schedule, and within budget across various sites.

• Manage financial performance, encompassing P&L, budgeting, and cost management.

• Foster and maintain relationships with key clients, stakeholders, and contractors.

• Instill a customer-centric approach, responsiveness, professionalism, and continuous improvement in service delivery.

• Promote innovation in scaffolding techniques, systems, and operational execution.

• Advocate for ongoing enhancement in service quality.

⛳️ Requirements

• Strong background in leadership and operational management.

• Demonstrated success in delivering national or large-scale operational solutions.

• Exceptional commercial awareness, including budgeting, cost management, and client negotiations.

• High-level communication skills, stakeholder engagement, and relationship management expertise.

• Proven experience in managing teams across various locations.

• Strong customer focus skills and attributes, with a history of delivering exceptional customer experiences.

• Evidence of innovative practices in operations, processes, or service delivery.

• Full UK Driving Licence.

• Experience in the scaffolding and access industry is preferred but not mandatory.

• Familiarity with NASC TG20:22 and SG4:22 is a plus but not required.

• CIRS qualification is advantageous but not essential.

• NEBOSH General Certificate or IOSH Managing Safely is preferred but not required.

• CISRS Supervisor/Advanced Scaffolder/Manager Card is a plus but not essential.
