This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.
β’ Investigate and manage claims related to auto accidents, bodily injury, property damage, and general liability.
β’ Review police and hospital records, analyze photographs and statements, and obtain recorded statements as necessary to establish a solid liability stance.
β’ Assess and analyze bodily injury demands and negotiate settlements for claims.
β’ Evaluate and compute automobile total loss settlements as well as claims for diminished value.
β’ Assess and calculate damages for non-vehicle property, ensuring all supporting documentation is included.
β’ Negotiate and conclude claim settlements, including resolution of liens, in accordance with client authority.
β’ Keep accurate records, reports, diaries, and files in the CMIS, adhering to company and regulatory standards.
β’ Record verbal and written case activities in the CMIS and prepare timely status updates for clients.
β’ Address inquiries within the required time frames.
β’ Maintain ongoing communication with injured workers, employers, carriers, legal counsel, and vendors throughout the claims process.
β’ A bachelor's degree from an accredited institution is preferred; however, relevant work experience will be taken into account.
β’ Minimum of 5 years of experience in adjusting auto and general liability claims.
β’ Experience with governmental immunity is advantageous but not mandatory.
β’ Exceptional oral and written communication skills, including proficiency in presentations.
β’ Strong negotiation and settlement abilities.
β’ Proficiency in using PCs, including Microsoft Office applications.
β’ Strong analytical and interpretive skills.
β’ Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills.
β’ Capability to work effectively within a team environment and meet or exceed service expectations.
β’ Regular travel is required for mediations, settlement conferences, and hearings, which may exceed two hours each way.
