General Ledger Accountant, RTR, German

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Romania.

📋 Description

• Oversee daily financial operations, including payroll, invoicing, and various transactions.

• Utilize AI tools for the registration of passive invoices.

• Reconcile the general ledger and other GL accounts.

• Conduct accounting analyses and reporting to aid in decision-making.

• Maintain and reconcile schedules for fixed assets.

• Assist in the month-end and year-end closing procedures.

• Ensure adherence to local and Group GAAP standards.

• Collaborate with the Finance Manager to enhance financial processes.

• Ensure compliance with tax regulations and deadlines.

• Provide support during tax audits and in the preparation of tax returns.

• Engage with both internal and external auditors.

• Identify gaps in processes and recommend improvements for automation using AI.

• Contribute to the accounting closing activities for the Romanian legal entity.

• Manage the entire accounting cycle by preparing straightforward Annual Statutory Financial Statements.

⛳️ Requirements

• A Certificate or Degree in Accounting, Business, Economics, or a related field.

• A minimum of 3–4 years of experience in a similar position and/or in an auditing firm.

• Proficiency in English.

• Fluency in German to cater to the DACH market.

• Strong knowledge of Office applications.

• A passion for utilizing AI tools and a proactive approach towards process automation.

• Experience in accounting for travel agencies and familiarity with tax legislation (preferred).

• Familiarity with Microsoft Business Central (NAV) ERP software (preferred).

• Basic understanding of AI tools and a keen interest in streamlining accounting workflows through automation (preferred).

• Legally authorized to work in Romania without the need for visa sponsorship.
