Accountant, German Speaker

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Slovakia.

📋 Description

• Oversee and evaluate all statutory accounting responsibilities within the assigned portfolio

• Execute monthly tasks including flux analysis and balance sheet reconciliations

• Conduct monthly account analyses to detect any unusual or irregular transactions and propose solutions

• Offer support and guidance to other statutory accounting personnel, assisting with mentorship to ensure client deadlines are met

• Carry out year-end financial closing activities, which encompass US-to-local-GAAP reconciliations and local-GAAP financial statements

• Act as a pivotal resource during quarterly and year-end audits

• Serve as the primary liaison with auditors for the preparation of the PBC list

• Provide assistance with various ad-hoc accounting, tax, and finance projects

• Support the financial department across multiple European countries

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Economics

• Proficient in MS Office applications

• Advanced skills in Excel

• Fluent in English (both written and verbal)

• Proficiency in German at least at a B2 level

• Strong understanding of accounting principles

• 2-3 years of experience in accounting roles

• Capability to organize large volumes of data effectively

• Strong attention to detail

• Excellent communication skills with a proactive, supportive, and positive demeanor

• Ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks effectively

• Capacity to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines

• Willingness to travel as per client and job requirements

• Knowledge of SAP ERP is essential

• Experience in an SSC environment would be an advantage
