This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Colorado.
• Support educators in implementing instruction through differentiated techniques that align with students’ IEP objectives.
• Utilize assistive technology to deliver the general education curriculum as necessary.
• Collaborate and co-teach alongside special education teachers, general education instructors, and coaches.
• Work in coordination with the Special Education Teacher regarding requirements, IEP goals, and objectives.
• Evaluate students for proficiency based on state standards and testing mandates.
• Prepare students for standardized examinations and assist with local and state assessments.
• Engage in communication with students, parents, educators, coaches, staff, administrators, and stakeholders regarding performance and progress.
• Foster and sustain positive relationships with families.
• Monitor student progress and encourage motivation through goal-oriented incentives.
• Document and maintain records in relevant systems.
• Ensure adherence to company and district record-keeping regulations.
• Generate necessary reports and participate in special education and staff meetings.
• Engage in professional development, school committee activities, events, and Response to Intervention processes as needed.
• Address everyday challenges faced by staff and students.
• Collaborate in developing an effective Special Education program.
• Assist with club sponsorship and duties during lunch, before school, or after school as required.
• Communicate the needs of special education students to school leadership.
• Foster a positive school atmosphere and uphold school and classroom rules and policies.
• High School Diploma AND one (1) year of experience supporting students OR an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Capability to pass a mandatory background check.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project, Visio, etc.).
• Competence in web navigation.
• Outstanding communication and time management abilities.
• Willingness to travel 20% of the time for meetings, professional development, state testing, etc.
• Must be a resident of Colorado.
• Ability to maintain a distraction-free professional home office during work hours.
• Capacity to work independently, typically exceeding 40 hours per week.
• Teaching certification is not required.
