This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Prepare legal analyses, opinions, and memoranda regarding contractor legal management activities and regulatory compliance responsibilities.

• Perform legal research on 10 CFR Part 719, federal procurement laws, and related legal matters.

• Offer legal support during negotiations with contractors, which includes drafting documentation, identifying legal authorities, conducting analyses, and providing recommendations.

• Create internal and external memoranda, correspondence, and various legal documents.

• Evaluate contractor submissions, such as Legal Management Plans, Annual Budgets, Letters of Engagement, Staffing and Resource Plans, and Settlement Requests, for adherence to 10 CFR Part 719 and relevant DOE regulations.

• Assess attorney billing rates for fairness according to regulatory standards and market benchmarks, and provide recommendations based on findings.

• Assist agency attorneys with matters concerning real property and personal property law, appropriations law, environmental law, state regulatory requirements and processes, and administrative law through research, writing, and document examination or revision.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 7 years of legal practice experience as an attorney.

• At least 7 years of litigation experience.

• A minimum of 4 years of prior experience with contractor compliance in the Federal sector, ideally within or serving as a contractor for a Federal agency.

• Excellent legal research, analytical, and writing capabilities.

• Strong experience in drafting federal government contracts and/or agreements.

• Familiarity with federal contracts, government contractor oversight, or legal issues related to procurement.

• Active bar membership in good standing in at least one U.S. state.

• Capability to work remotely and travel as required.
