This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.
• Oversee the operations of the Gender Equity Working Group, which includes scheduling meetings, preparing agendas, sending reminders, and documenting as well as distributing minutes.
• Offer administrative assistance to the Gender Equity Advocate, encompassing calendar management, travel coordination, and daily operational support.
• Gather, analyze, and present data along with stakeholder feedback.
• Conduct research, review, and create policies, presentations, and curriculum materials.
• Develop and disseminate communication content, including articles, social media updates, and promotional materials.
• Manage and enhance the online presence of Gender Equity.
• Spearhead social media engagement initiatives.
• Encourage collaboration among the Gender Equity Advocate, Working Group members, and internal departments.
• Aid in project planning, coordination, and execution.
• Assist with creative productions, events, and awareness campaigns that promote Gender Equity outcomes.
• High School Diploma is required; post-secondary education in Administration, Communications, Social Sciences, or a related field is viewed as an asset.
• At least five (5) years of experience in office administration, executive support, secretarial, or similar administrative roles.
• Advanced skills in Microsoft 365, including Outlook, Calendar, and Excel.
• Proficient keyboarding and document management abilities.
• Outstanding organizational, planning, and prioritization capabilities.
• Keen attention to detail and dedication to process excellence and ongoing improvement.
• Capacity to work independently with minimal supervision while demonstrating initiative, sound judgment, and accountability.
• Ability to manage confidential and sensitive information with tact, diplomacy, professionalism, and discretion.
• Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
• Dedication to equity, inclusion, and social justice.
• Knowledge of or experience with gender equity initiatives is considered a strong advantage.
