This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Oversee the EAG platform’s currency and manage the technical delivery under EAGMO.
• Evaluate EAG components, their dependencies, versions, certificates, runtime components, identity integrations, CI/CD dependencies, and the impacts of migration.
• Recognize currency-related risks and sequencing dependencies.
• Develop and implement approved change packages for gateway/platform currency and technical refresh within contractor-controlled and Government-sanctioned parameters.
• Carry out runtime upgrades, SSO modifications, certificate renewals, gateway component enhancements, container/platform compatibility adjustments, and monitoring/logging compatibility updates.
• Create change records, implementation procedures, validation processes, rollback strategies, and release documentation for each currency event.
• Conduct functional, regression, connectivity, security, performance, observability, and operational readiness validations following each event.
• Update runbooks, configuration baselines, version inventories, and operational documentation.
• Generate Platform Currency Assessments, Annual Currency Implementation Plans, Currency Change Packages, and Currency Validation Reports.
• A designated engineer will assume Technical Lead responsibilities, coordinating efforts across all EAG task areas.
• At least 4 years of experience in API gateway or enterprise middleware platform operations, including runtime dependency management, certificate lifecycle management, SSO integration, and platform upgrades.
• Familiarity with EAG/API-gateway automation components that connect with Government-owned CI/CD pipelines; does not manage or operate the CI/CD platform.
• Strong preference for experience with IBM webMethods platform currency, patching, and dependency management.
• Background in federal IT change management, encompassing change request processes, approval workflows, and post-deployment validation documentation.
• Excellent documentation capabilities, including change records, release documentation, rollback plans, runbooks, and configuration baselines.
• Active IRS Minimum Background Investigation (MBI) is required.
• Preferred experience in IBM webMethods administration or patching.
• Preferred experience with OpenShift or container platform upgrades and patching.
• Preferred knowledge in certificate lifecycle management and PKI automation.
• Preferred experience in IRS or Treasury D&PE programs.
• U.S. Citizenship is required.
• Must fulfill eligibility criteria for access to classified information and be capable of obtaining a government-issued security clearance.
