Garment Manufacturing QC Specialist – Freelance AI Trainer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in South Africa.

📋 Description

• Engage in discussions and reviews of garment quality inspection scenarios utilizing AI models.

• Assess if the model's reasoning is consistent with actual quality control practices in factories.

• Analyze defect classification and assess severity levels.

• Examine inspection workflows throughout various production stages.

• Identify and document recurring errors within the model.

• Recommend enhancements to training prompts and evaluation standards.

• Contribute to the training of AI systems by leveraging expertise in quality control within real-world garment manufacturing.

⛳️ Requirements

• Practical experience in inspecting garments and finished products in factory or production settings.

• Background in quality control within garment manufacturing.

• Significant hands-on experience on the factory floor related to quality checking or garment inspection is highly valued.

• Knowledge of sewing outputs, production lines, and key inspection checkpoints.

• Capability to assess defect identification, measurement tolerances, stitching quality, material consistency, finishing standards, and adherence to production standards.

• Strong communication skills and the ability to articulate quality assessments and production realities.

• A secure computer and high-speed internet connection provided by the contractor are required.

• Advanced technical education is not a prerequisite.
