Gaming Producer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Washington.

📋 Description

• Assist an engineering systems organization tasked with development workflows, builds, testing, and engineering systems.

• Oversee daily operations in collaboration with engineering, product, and QA partners.

• Facilitate Agile ceremonies, including sprint planning, backlog management, and tracking team velocity and capacity.

• Ensure visibility into milestones, dependencies, risks, blockers, and delivery commitments.

• Develop and maintain sprint and milestone dashboards, calendars, trackers, and transition checklists.

• Monitor backlog health and collaborate with leads and product managers to eliminate stale or outdated tasks.

• Track assignments of work items and feature delivery timelines.

• Collaborate with engineering leads and product managers to create user story stubs, tasks, and bugs.

• Maintain documentation related to work management, pipeline information, action logs, reminders, workflows, and execution tracking mechanisms.

• Organize and lead meetings, prepare agendas, pre-reads, status questions, and ensure follow-through.

• Represent features and workstreams in release forums, coordinating partner commitments and cross-team dependencies.

• Assist with release readiness, review release inquiries, consolidate changelog feedback, and track critical-path work.

• Work alongside QA on validation plans, test plans, reproductions, regression tracking, and release dependencies.

• Monitor readiness signals, unresolved bugs, validation dependencies, and release risks.

• Escalate decisions and issues that require cross-team resolution.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's degree and a minimum of 2 years of experience in engineering, product management, technical program management, data analysis, product development, or production.

• Practical experience with work-management and collaboration tools such as Azure DevOps, Jira, or Confluence.

• Familiarity with Agile or Scrum methodologies, including sprint planning, team velocity, capacity, and milestone delivery.

• Proven experience in coordinating projects, workstreams, or deliverables across various stakeholders.

• Strong communication skills to effectively convey information across technical and non-technical groups.

• Ability to facilitate communication among creative professionals, programmers, product stakeholders, and executive-level stakeholders.

• Competence in operating effectively within a dynamic and evolving environment.

• Adaptability to quickly shift priorities and execution plans while maintaining a positive and productive demeanor.

• Preferred: Bachelor's degree and 4+ years of experience in engineering, product management, technical program management, data analysis, or product development, or equivalent experience.

• Preferred: Experience as a Producer or Technical Program Manager within a gaming studio.

• Preferred: Over 4 years of experience managing cross-functional and/or cross-team projects.

• Preferred: Experience in coordinating complex technical initiatives involving engineering, QA, product, and other partner teams.

• Preferred: Demonstrated capability to motivate cross-functional teams and resolve conflicts under tight deadlines.

• Preferred: Extensive experience with Agile execution, sprint ceremonies, backlog management, and release coordination.

• Preferred: Experience in environments where delivery predictability, milestone achievement, and dependency management are crucial.
