GAAP Accountant

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Engage in the monthly accounting close process.

• Generate journal entries, reconciliations, and variance analyses in compliance with U.S. GAAP and internal company guidelines.

• Create journal entries and account reconciliations for cash accounts, accounts receivable, accounts payable, prepaid expenses, and expense accruals.

• Contribute to enhancements in accounting processes, emphasizing effective internal controls.

• Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and accompanying footnotes.

• Refine account-close workpapers and procedures, including utilizing AI tools to enhance efficiency and accuracy.

• Collaborate with the Finance team to analyze historical results and elevate information quality.

• Take part in automation, system implementation, and projects focused on accounting best practices.

• Support various ad hoc projects and requests.

• Aid internal teams with their accounting-related operational requirements.

• Collaborate with the Accounting Manager and assist the Controllers while managing key aspects of the financial close process.

• Interact with employees, vendors, partners, and other stakeholders to ensure tasks are completed accurately and on time.

⛳️ Requirements

• A Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is mandatory.

• At least 2 years of pertinent accounting experience is essential.

• A strong foundational understanding of U.S. GAAP is required.

• Capability to apply technical accounting principles to practical business transactions.

• Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.

• High attention to detail and accuracy in documenting work executed.

• Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional team members.

• Must reside and work within the United States, excluding territories.

• Must have access to reliable, high-speed internet.
