Functional Analyst

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Maryland.

📋 Description

• Work closely with clients to establish product specifications, enhance product knowledge, and liaise with both business and technical stakeholders to implement solutions.

• Assist business and technical teams in the collection, documentation, and analysis of business and system requirements.

• Recognize, evaluate, and confirm the business needs and requirements of clients.

• Create and sustain business requirements, functional requirements, user stories, process flows, and acceptance criteria.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to guarantee the execution of business, functional, and system requirements.

• Utilize Agile/Scrum methodologies, business analysis strategies, and project management practices.

• Engage in functional, integration, regression, and User Acceptance Testing activities and record testing outcomes.

• Identify, document, monitor, and validate defects using Jira.

• Maintain traceability connections between business requirements, user stories, test cases, and defects.

• Attend stakeholder meetings and convey project updates, inquiries, risks, and requirements with clarity.

⛳️ Requirements

• Must have resided in the United States for at least three (3) of the last five (5) years.

• Must currently be residing in the United States to be eligible for this role, and must remain legally in the USA after selection.

• Must be able to undergo the US Federal Public Trust Security Clearance process.

• Bachelor’s degree (Four years of specialized experience beyond high school may be accepted in place of a Bachelor’s degree).

• At least 4 years of experience, including a minimum of 2 years focusing on understanding business processes and gathering/documenting requirements.

• Capability to decompose complex requirements into practical work items.

• Familiarity and experience with Agile software development practices.

• Exceptional written and verbal communication abilities.

• Previous experience with the Center for Medicare and Medicaid Services or other federal agencies is advantageous.

• Skills: Business Analysis, Agile methodologies, User Acceptance Testing, Stakeholder Management.

• Tools: Atlassian Confluence, MS Office, advanced MS Excel, ServiceNow.
