Functional Analyst

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in South Carolina.

📋 Description

• Configure, enhance, and provide support for Dynamics 365 Finance and SCM modules.

• Lead sessions to gather requirements from Finance and Warehousing stakeholders.

• Convert business requirements into functional specifications and Business Requirement Documents (BRDs).

• Collaborate with development teams to ensure the accuracy of functional designs, integrations, and data mappings among D365 Finance, CRM, and other enterprise systems.

• Assist in system testing, User Acceptance Testing (UAT), and activities related to release readiness with QA and DevOps teams.

• Validate system functionality and data accuracy during month-end closings, consolidations, and financial reporting.

• Document business processes, functional requirements, configuration modifications, and testing results.

• Provide knowledge transfer and mentorship to team members and business users.

• Support solution delivery utilizing Agile methodologies and contemporary Application Lifecycle Management (ALM) practices within Azure DevOps pipelines.

• Assist with data migration, transformation, and ingestion utilizing SQL, SSIS, and Power Automate.

• Engage in solution design reviews, regression testing cycles, and finance workflow automation projects using Power Platform components.

• Collaborate closely with internal stakeholders, X++ developers, SQL/SSIS specialists, and offshore CRM integration teams.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, Information Systems, or a related field; or equivalent professional experience.

• Significant hands-on experience in configuring Dynamics 365 Finance and Operations modules, including GL, AP, AR, Budgeting, Fixed Assets, Project Accounting, and Supply Chain Management.

• Strong grasp of enterprise accounting principles.

• Ability to translate financial processes into system configurations.

• Experience working within Agile delivery teams using Azure DevOps for managing backlogs, testing, and deployment pipelines.

• Knowledge of Dynamics 365 ALM, LCS, solution deployment, and environment management.

• Familiarity with Power Platform tools, including Power Automate, Power Apps, and Power BI.

• Proficient in SQL, SSIS, and data transformation/ETL concepts that support financial integrations.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

• Proficiency in English (reading, writing, and speaking).

• Strong oral presentation and documentation skills, including BRDs, test scripts, and solution notes.

• Experience with M365, Teams, MS Project Web (Planner), and other collaboration tools.

• Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance Functional Consultant Associate certification is preferred.

• Experience integrating Dynamics 365 Finance with CRM (CE), Power Platform, or Azure-based data services is preferred.

• Familiarity with the healthcare, life sciences, or other regulated industries is preferred.

• Must have reliable internet access.

• Capability to lift up to 25 lbs.

• Occasional travel within the United States may be necessary.
