Fullstack Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United Kingdom.

📋 Description

• Assist QVAC application teams in the development, assessment, testing, and delivery of dependable software with minimal friction.

• Create and sustain developer tools for both desktop and mobile applications, along with their shared runtime, AI harness, and skill packages.

• Incorporate AI agents into engineering workflows.

• Enhance code quality and automate delivery processes.

• Assess, integrate, and maintain developer tools and AI agents, including repository guidance and necessary integrations.

• Construct and manage agents in continuous integration (CI) and scheduled workflows to analyze failures, suggest fixes, and present actionable evidence.

• Enhance automated pull request reviews by assessing finding accuracy and minimizing reviewer noise.

• Create scripts and checks for code quality, focusing on complexity, function and file size, dependency cycles, and performance regressions.

• Collaborate with package owners to establish practical thresholds and targeted refactoring strategies.

• Advance development environments, testing, and build and release workflows.

• Prioritize enhancements with engineering teams, support implementation through documentation and onboarding, and evaluate effectiveness, reliability, and operational costs.

• Formulate workflows that analyze CI failures, diagnose compatibility and performance regressions, and identify changes impacting package interfaces or architecture.

• Oversee improvements from implementation through adoption and ongoing support.

⛳️ Requirements

• Proven experience in building and maintaining developer tools or engineering automation utilized by others.

• Proficient in JavaScript/TypeScript and Node.js.

• Practical experience using and integrating AI coding tools or agents.

• Strong understanding of AI tool limitations, output validation, and the need for human review.

• Familiarity with Git, CI/CD, automated testing, and systematic debugging of build, test, or integration failures.

• A robust approach to code quality, maintainable code, valuable automated checks, and behavior-preserving refactoring.

• Capacity to work independently as well as collaboratively with engineers.

• Excellent communication skills in English.

• Ability to function effectively within a remote, globally distributed team.
