Full Time Virtual Teacher, Special Education

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Provide live, on-camera synchronous instruction for a minimum of five hours daily on all scheduled instructional days.

• Develop an engaging and well-structured virtual classroom that fosters student engagement and success.

• Utilize student performance data to tailor instruction, identify learning gaps, and modify teaching methods.

• Offer timely, constructive feedback on student assignments.

• Maintain precise student records and ensure that students and families are kept informed.

• Cultivate relationships with students and families through proactive and professional communication.

• Collaborate with school partners and Edmentum colleagues to deliver consistent, high-quality support for students.

⛳️ Requirements

• A Bachelor’s degree in Education or a related discipline.

• An active state teaching license in Special Education for grades 6-12.

• Experience teaching in both virtual and/or in-person environments.

• Comfortable handling the demands of a live online classroom.

• Capable of delivering live instruction on camera for five or more consecutive hours each instructional day.

• Practical experience with online learning platforms, virtual instruction tools, and standard productivity software.

• Ability to analyze student performance data and adjust teaching strategies accordingly.

• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

• Highly organized and self-motivated, with effective time management skills to oversee a full student caseload remotely.

• Dedication to professional development, maintaining certification, and staying updated on K-12 curriculum, technology, and best practices.

• Openness to taking on evolving responsibilities as per business requirements.
