Full Time Virtual Teacher, Physics/Physical Science

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Florida.

📋 Description

• Provide live, on-camera synchronous instruction for five or more hours each day on all scheduled instructional days

• Develop an engaging and organized virtual classroom environment

• Utilize student performance data to tailor instruction and pinpoint learning gaps

• Modify teaching methods to accommodate individual student requirements

• Offer timely and constructive feedback on student assignments

• Keep precise student records

• Foster relationships with students and their families through proactive communication

• Collaborate with school partners and Edmentum team members to ensure consistent, high-quality support for students

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Education or a related discipline

• Valid state teaching license in Florida and/or Indiana in Physics or Physical Science for grades 6-12

• Experience teaching in both virtual and in-person environments

• Comfort with the demands associated with a live online classroom

• Capability to teach live on camera for five or more consecutive hours each instructional day

• Practical experience with online learning platforms, virtual teaching tools, and standard productivity software

• Ability to analyze student performance data and adapt instruction accordingly

• Exceptional written and verbal communication abilities

• Strong organizational skills and self-motivation

• Time management skills to effectively handle a full student caseload in a remote setting

• Dedication to professional development, maintaining certification, and staying updated on K-12 curriculum, technology, and best practices

• Openness to taking on evolving responsibilities as needed by the business
