Full Time Virtual Teacher, Biology

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Ohio.

📋 Description

• Provide live, on-camera synchronous instruction for five (5) or more hours daily, every designated instructional day.

• Develop an engaging and well-structured virtual classroom environment.

• Utilize student performance data to customize instruction, pinpoint learning gaps, and adapt teaching methods.

• Offer timely and constructive feedback on student assignments.

• Keep accurate records to ensure students and families are informed and on track.

• Foster relationships with students and families through proactive communication.

• Work collaboratively with school partners and Edmentum colleagues to deliver consistent, high-quality support for students.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Education or a related discipline.

• Active Ohio state teaching license in Biology for grades 6–12.

• Experience teaching in both virtual and/or in-person environments.

• Comfortable with the demands of a live online classroom setting.

• Capable of teaching live on camera for five (5) or more consecutive hours during each instructional day.

• Practical experience with online learning platforms, virtual instruction tools, and standard productivity software.

• Ability to analyze student performance data and modify live instruction accordingly.

• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.

• Highly organized, self-directed, and adept in time management to handle a full student caseload remotely.

• Dedication to professional growth, maintaining certification, and staying updated on K–12 curriculum, technology, and best practices.
