Full Stack Web Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Latin America.

📋 Description

• Develop enterprise-level features for WordPress, which include custom Gutenberg blocks utilizing React.js, alongside plugins and themes crafted with modern HTML/CSS and PHP.

• Manage tickets from start to finish, ensuring a thorough understanding of requirements, leading to the implementation and delivery of reviewable pull requests.

• Convert Figma designs and project specifications into sleek, responsive features and reusable components for WordPress.

• Leverage AI tools to speed up implementation and debugging while ensuring the accuracy of outputs prior to pull requests.

• Integrate feedback from code reviews conducted by senior and lead engineers.

• Engage proactively and asynchronously in English with remote engineering, design, and delivery teams.

• Submit merged, production-ready pull requests for live client projects.

• Take independent ownership of tickets from initial requirements through to release.

• Provide enterprise-quality work for platforms catering to millions of users.

⛳️ Requirements

• Strong experience within an agency or consultancy, focusing on WordPress solutions for large-scale, enterprise-level projects.

• Proven track record working with high-traffic sites, demanding clients, and meeting tight deadlines.

• Proficiency in HTML, CSS, modern PHP, JavaScript, and the Gutenberg ecosystem.

• Experience in developing custom Gutenberg blocks using React.js.

• Familiarity with AI tools and the capacity to critically assess their outputs.

• Excellent written and spoken communication skills in English.

• Capability to articulate technical decisions, assumptions, and trade-offs clearly.

• Located in Latin America.

• Ability to collaborate in real-time with teams in US time zones.

• Comfort with working in distributed team environments.

• Experience with ElasticPress or ClassifAI is a plus.
