Full Stack Web Developer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.

📋 Description

• Design, develop, and maintain both external and internal websites.

• Create website frameworks and content aimed at collaborators, senior management, and administrative staff.

• Collaborate with UX Designers to produce responsive front-end interfaces and UI interactions.

• Work alongside the team lead to enhance user experience, code quality, and overall productivity.

• Manage Linux servers operating on RHEL.

• Configure and sustain Apache, NGINX, MariaDB, SMTP, DNS, and SSH services.

• Develop custom applications tailored to work-group requirements based on client needs.

• Partner with clients, graphic designers, and editors to define and execute web projects.

• Resolve technical issues and offer solutions pertaining to institutional compatibility, support, and system requirements.

• Document technical solutions, system configurations, and development methodologies.

• Perform additional duties as assigned.

⛳️ Requirements

• Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. DOE Q-level security clearance, which necessitates U.S. citizenship.

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, or a related field, or a comparable mix of education and relevant experience.

• Basic understanding of server architecture and troubleshooting, as well as Linux or Apache systems.

• Familiarity with MySQL, HTML, CSS, Python, React, Angular, or JavaScript.

• Adequate experience utilizing the latest technologies and practices in software and applications like Confluence, Docker, Git, or Jira.

• Relevant experience in designing, deploying, or managing solutions within Amazon Web Services (AWS).

• Experience in building websites and developing themes.

• Basic knowledge of current trends and best practices in web architecture and design, including performance, accessibility, UI/UX design, prototyping, scalability, compliance, or usability.

• Experience contributing to projects while effectively communicating with diverse teams.

• A pre-employment drug test is required for selected external candidates.

• Must successfully pass a federal background investigation.

• Compliance with DOE restrictions on mobile devices in Limited Areas, as applicable.
