Full Stack Software Engineer, New Grad

📋 Description

• Create full-stack applications utilizing Python and React.

• Play a key role in Quora Core Product initiatives aimed at fostering growth, ensuring healthy moderation, empowering creators, and enhancing community engagement.

• Design and implement product features on a large scale.

• Leverage data and experimentation to inform product enhancements.

• Lead projects from concept through to production across the entire technology stack.

• Work collaboratively with designers, product managers, engineers, and data scientists to prototype, develop functionality, and assess impact.

• Engage in the team's on-call rotation to uphold a reliable and high-quality Quora product.

• Create systems that facilitate rewarding knowledge sharing and simplify discovery.

• Develop features that boost user engagement, generate AI-assisted content, ensure high-quality output, and improve the creator experience.

⛳️ Requirements

• Must be available for meetings and spontaneous communication during Quora's coordination hours, Monday-Friday, 9am-3pm Pacific Time.

• Anticipated graduation in 2025 or 2026 with a B.S., M.S., or Ph.D. in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field.

• Basic knowledge of data structures, algorithms, and software design gained through coursework or hands-on experience.

• Proficient in Python or a comparable programming language, or have the capability to learn swiftly.

• Previous experience in software engineering through internships, work experience, or coding competitions is preferred.

• Familiarity with Python, React, TypeScript, and/or SQL is preferred.

• A strong passion for Quora's mission and objectives is preferred.

• An inquisitive mindset about AI and practical experience with AI tools or projects is preferred.

• Must complete identity verification and a thorough background check before onboarding.

• Must be legally authorized to work in the designated employment-eligible country.

• Must indicate if employment visa sponsorship will be necessary.
