Full Stack Software Developer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada, +1 more country.

📋 Description

• Develop, maintain, and improve product-level code throughout the entire codebase.

• Engage in technical design reviews.

• Collaborate cross-functionally during agile sprints with product managers, designers, and engineers.

• Adhere to coding best practices and team standards.

• Participate in peer code evaluations.

• Diagnose, debug, and resolve complex system issues with guidance from senior engineers.

• Propel enhancements in system performance.

• Refactor existing legacy code.

• Update and improve technical documentation.

⛳️ Requirements

• Strong foundational expertise in Kotlin and SQL.

• Proven experience, or a strong portfolio of academic/personal projects, in developing robust applications.

• Knowledge of Event-Driven Architecture.

• Familiarity with streaming tools like Apache Kafka or Pub/Sub systems.

• Experience with Docker and Kubernetes.

• Solid understanding of IoT systems.

• Background in handling large-scale datasets.

• Experience with caching real-time data.

• Proven ability to build effective data pipelines.

• Practical exposure to, or a keen interest in, contemporary agentic code generation tools.

• Previous experience with, or a strong curiosity about, hardware integration and embedded systems.

• Willingness to learn.

• Strong problem-solving skills.

• Capability to succeed in a collaborative, fast-paced environment.

• Legally authorized to work in either Canada or the United States.
