Full Stack Software Developer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Serbia.

📋 Description

• Develop responsive and user-friendly web applications for Vertrax, the ERP and logistics division of Acumatica focused on the fuel industry.

• Design, create, test, and launch responsive, accessible, and visually coherent user interfaces utilizing React, TypeScript or JavaScript, HTML, and CSS.

• Convert wireframes, mockups, and product specifications into reusable and maintainable front-end components.

• Design and support back-end APIs and services using Java and Spring Boot.

• Connect front-end applications with RESTful APIs or GraphQL services.

• Compose and enhance SQL queries to ensure application functionality, performance, and data integrity.

• Enhance application speed, scalability, reliability, and usability through performance evaluations and effective engineering practices.

• Collaborate with product managers, designers, QA professionals, and engineers throughout the software development lifecycle.

• Produce clean, testable, and well-documented code while participating in code reviews.

• Utilize Git, npm, and related development tools for code quality, version control, and build automation.

• Diagnose defects, resolve production issues, and contribute to ongoing product enhancements.

• Engage in Agile planning, estimation, reviews, and retrospectives.

• Keep abreast of contemporary front-end, back-end, cloud, and user experience methodologies.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of three years of professional software development experience, with significant hands-on front-end development expertise.

• Strong skills in React, TypeScript or JavaScript, HTML, and CSS.

• Experience with Node.js and npm-based development workflows.

• Proficient knowledge of Java and Spring Boot, including the capability to implement and manage straightforward back-end APIs.

• Excellent SQL skills, including the capability to write efficient and well-structured database queries.

• Experience in integrating web applications with RESTful APIs; GraphQL experience is also advantageous.

• Proficient in Git or an equivalent version-control system.

• Solid understanding of responsive design, usability, browser compatibility, and front-end performance.

• Proven problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities, with a keen attention to detail.

• Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively in a remote, cross-functional team environment.

• Preferred: at least one year of experience in an Agile software development setting.

• Preferred: familiarity with DevOps practices, automated testing, and continuous integration and delivery pipelines.

• Preferred: experience with AWS or another cloud platform.

• Preferred: knowledge of browser debugging, profiling, and performance-testing tools.

• Preferred: understanding of secure coding practices, API authentication, and scalable application architecture.

• Preferred: Bachelor’s degree in computer science, software engineering, or a related field, or equivalent hands-on experience.
