Full-Stack Java Developer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Luxembourg.

📋 Description

• Collaborate with subject matter experts to collect business requirements.

• Evaluate current processes, applications, and new user requirements.

• Create applications and microservices that meet business needs.

• Develop applications and microservices utilizing the appropriate technology stack.

• Provide support for existing microservices applications across various divisions.

• Conduct unit, integration, system, and performance testing.

• Assist the business during user acceptance testing and secure business signoff.

• Commit source code, configurations, and automated unit tests to Git, accompanied by documentation such as Javadoc and Asciidoc.

• Document test results and manage changes in ServiceNow.

• Create documentation, reports, and change management materials.

• Engage actively in agile ceremonies.

• Prepare and oversee releases.

• Store materials in SharePoint for auditing purposes.

• Identify risks and communicate regarding change-related issues.

• Ensure successful deployments and adjustments to industry practices.

• Maintain client relationships across various divisions to facilitate seamless communication.

⛳️ Requirements

• A Bachelor’s degree in IT with a minimum of 10 years of practical Java experience.

• Proven experience in writing and maintaining automated unit and integration tests for Java applications.

• Practical development experience with Spring and Spring Boot, including persistence with JPA and Hibernate.

• Proficient in using Git for collaborative software development, including branches, pull requests or merge requests, and code reviews.

• Skilled in writing SQL queries for relational databases and utilizing XML, YAML, and JSON in application development or configuration.

• Practical experience with AI-agent-driven software development using at least one of GitHub Copilot, Claude Code, or Codex; experience must encompass agent-led implementation or modification of application code; mere code completion is not sufficient.

• Hands-on experience in developing Angular frontend applications using TypeScript/JavaScript.

• Advanced English communication skills (C1) in both written and spoken forms.

• Experience with Apache Camel.

• Familiarity with agile (Scrum) methodologies and DevSecOps practices.

• Experience with continuous integration and continuous delivery pipelines, e.g., Azure Pipelines.

• Knowledge of Infrastructure-as-Code, e.g., Terraform, and containerized environments, e.g., Docker.

• Experience with public cloud architectures, e.g., Microsoft Azure.

• Experience in microservices development.

• Background in the financial services industry.

• Understanding of service management according to ITIL standards.
