📋 Description

• Take ownership of and enhance the full-stack rendering pipeline for Yelp's WWW and mobile site Search pages.

• Create and uphold component registration and rendering frameworks for both desktop and mobile Search pages.

• Construct server-side view models and Python data hydration layers that supply props to React components.

• Develop and enhance GraphQL APIs for client-side data retrieval and mobile resolver-based architecture.

• Work collaboratively with feature teams on client-side user experience (UX), server-side factory functions, GraphQL resolvers, and data loading.

• Enhance developer ergonomics, platform reliability, and web performance.

• Steer architectural decisions regarding Search page layouts, feature composition, rendering, and deployment.

⛳️ Requirements

• Ideally possess 5+ years of professional experience in building full-stack web applications utilizing Python on the server side and TypeScript/React on the client side.

• Have a strong grasp of component-based frontend architectures, server-side rendering (SSR) patterns, and client-side data fetching using GraphQL.

• Experience in designing GraphQL schemas and resolvers, preferably with frameworks like Strawberry or other similar typed Python GraphQL libraries.

• Embrace a platform engineering mindset that prioritizes clean abstractions, extensibility, and developer experience.

• Be comfortable working across multiple services and codebases, with an understanding of backend-to-frontend data flow.

• Have experience in maintaining and scaling high-traffic web surfaces where performance and reliability are paramount, including mobile-optimized experiences.

• Possess strong collaboration skills with the capability to support and unblock other engineering teams.

• Complete a final-panel coding exercise using React and Flask on a code repository platform.
