Full Stack Engineer – Ruby/React

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Create, develop, and sustain robust responsive front-end solutions utilizing React.

• Create, develop, and sustain high-performance Ruby on Rails APIs for web, desktop, and mobile platforms.

• Oversee PostgreSQL data architecture, which includes data modeling, schema migrations, query optimization, and indexing.

• Manage and scale containerized services based on Docker and Kubernetes.

• Set up cloud infrastructure using Terraform.

• Strengthen and optimize automated CI/CD pipelines.

• Deliver production-ready pull requests that are thoroughly tested.

• Engage in technical design reviews and conduct rigorous peer code evaluations.

• Work alongside business development and mission success teams on intricate technical escalations.

• Resolve issues to ensure critical field operations remain unblocked.

• Address data serialization and synchronization challenges and integrate external enterprise and tactical systems.

• Ensure a secure backend for mobile application authentication and synchronization.

⛳️ Requirements

• 8+ years of professional full-stack experience.

• Enthusiastic early adopter of AI-driven development tools (e.g., Claude Code, Codex, Cursor).

• Extensive expertise in Ruby, including Rails or similar frameworks, and SQL.

• Experience in designing scalable services, data modeling, complex schema migrations, and optimizing inefficient queries.

• Deep understanding of modern React, complex application state management, and front-end performance enhancement.

• Comprehensive knowledge of PostgreSQL internals, advanced indexing strategies, query execution plans, transaction management, and performance tuning.

• Practical experience with Docker and Kubernetes.

• Familiarity with Terraform for cloud infrastructure as code.

• Experience managing CI/CD pipelines.

• Capacity to work independently with a high feature velocity in a fully remote, asynchronous setting.

• Proactive communicator with the ability to raise questions early, collaborate on designs, and provide clear visibility on ticket progress.

• Proof of identity and eligibility to work in the United States is required for all hires.
