Full Stack Engineer – Finance

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States, +3 more countries.

📋 Description

• Collaborate with product managers, designers, and engineers to create new features and improve existing applications.

• Design and implement both frontend and backend components utilizing JavaScript, Node.js, and Python.

• Develop RESTful APIs and integrate them with third-party services.

• Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code adhering to best practices and coding standards.

• Implement automated testing and uphold high code quality through code reviews and continuous integration.

• Optimize application performance and scalability to meet increasing user demands.

• Utilize and develop LLMs to boost underwriters’ productivity.

• Troubleshoot production issues with the latest tools available.

• Help define the direction of a small but expanding engineering team.

• Facilitate the collection of business requirements and create scalable engineering solutions.

• Design data models based on business domain use cases.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 3 years of experience in full stack development.

• Capability to facilitate the gathering of business requirements and devise scalable engineering solutions.

• Strong proficiency in designing data models based on business domain use cases.

• Proven ability to write future-proof code with an emphasis on maintainability and testability.

• Familiarity with CI/CD tools such as GitHub Actions, AWS Code Pipelines, Jenkins, or similar.

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, along with strong organizational and time management abilities.

• Demonstrated skill in effectively prioritizing and managing multiple tasks/projects simultaneously in alignment with organizational goals and meeting deadlines.

• Previous startup experience is a plus.

• Experience with Python and JavaScript is desirable.

• Background in addressing challenges related to the insurance industry/domain is a plus.

• Familiarity with web technologies and frameworks (JS/TS, HTML, CSS/SCSS, Angular, React, Bootstrap, Node.js) is advantageous.

• Knowledge of containerization and orchestration technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes is beneficial.

• Must be authorized to work in the United States, Poland, or Canada without current or future employer-sponsored work authorization.
