Full Stack Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Maryland.

📋 Description

• Design, architect, and develop features for web applications.

• Construct back-end code and interfaces for new web platforms.

• Assess user requirements and implement front-end design, graphics, performance, and capacity enhancements.

• Integrate applications with various platforms.

• Stay updated with the latest web developments and trends.

• Create and deploy backend web applications utilizing modern open-source software.

• Oversee server-side processing, data storage, and frontend integration.

• Document API and deployment operations.

• Quickly adapt to new programming tools and techniques.

• Manage large datasets and optimize their handling and storage.

• Collaborate with Product Managers, Designers, and Engineers to create and maintain an external-facing web portal.

• Develop user-facing features with JavaScript and React JS.

• Troubleshoot and enhance the performance of front-end components and applications.

• Convert designs and wireframes into reusable, testable, and efficient front-end code.

• Build, iterate, and test scalable back-end APIs.

• Design and implement data models to enhance web application data access.

• Engage in Agile ceremonies, including standups, demos, retrospectives, and sprint planning.

• Collect and implement business requirements in collaboration with product owners and business analysts.

• Gather and fulfill product, front-end, and back-end requirements alongside designers and engineers.

• Provide support, maintenance, and enhancements for existing applications.

• Communicate and clarify designs and requirements with product managers, engineers, and QA.

⛳️ Requirements

• All applicants must obtain public trust clearance through the U.S. Federal Government.

• Candidates must be U.S. citizens or pass clearance through the Foreign National Government System.

• Foreign National candidates should have resided in the United States for at least 3 out of the last 5 years.

• Foreign National candidates must possess a valid and unexpired passport from their country of origin.

• Foreign National candidates must have the necessary VISA/work permit documentation.

• A minimum of 4 years of relevant experience is required.

• A bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, Business, or another related scientific or technical field is necessary.

• Experience with a major cloud service provider (AWS preferred).

• Strong proficiency in Python and Django.

• Extensive experience with HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and TypeScript.

• Expertise in Node.js and JavaScript frameworks such as React or Angular.

• Solid understanding of APIs, JSON, Web APIs, REST APIs, JSON-RPC, XML-RPC, RESTful practices, and GraphQL.

• Familiarity with Docker containerization and deployments.

• Experience with relational and non-relational databases like SQL, MySQL, NoSQL, PostgreSQL, and MongoDB.

• Knowledge of benchmarking, monitoring, and performance engineering tools such as Grafana, Sentry, and Prometheus.

• Awareness of automated end-to-end unit tests and testing platforms.

• Strong skills in documentation and problem-solving.

• Experience with Git and AWS DevSecOps.

• Ability to adapt to changing priorities.

• Capability to thrive in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.

• Familiarity with Agile methodology and test-driven development.

• Experience with Atlassian Jira/Confluence.

• Excellent proficiency in written and spoken English.

• Ability to convey technical information to non-technical audiences.

• Desired: Knowledge of AuthN/AuthZ systems, Active Directory, Okta, AWS IAM Policies/Roles, attribute-based access controls, Medicaid data, and healthcare data from CMS or the healthcare sector.
