Full Stack Developer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Maryland.

📋 Description

• Take charge of the architecture and delivery across various workstreams for Intelligent Applications.

• Establish build methodologies, templates, standards, and quality checkpoints for forward-deployed projects.

• Provide mentorship and guidance to multiple engineers.

• Oversee UI, API, and data streams, focusing on sequencing, risk management, and integration strategies.

• Define reference architectures and standards for SOLID/MVC boundaries, error handling, testing, observability, and security protocols.

• Influence decisions regarding performance and data architecture, including SQL/query patterns, indexing strategies, and data contracts.

• Develop reusable accelerators such as scaffolds, templates, specification/context packages, PR checklists, CI quality gates, LLM/RAG reference modules, and evaluation scaffolding.

• Collaborate with data teams utilizing Databricks or Snowflake for analytics and machine learning adjacency.

• Implement CI/CD and containerization standards, including pipeline guardrails, environment parity, container-first development workflows, and release verification.

• Coach senior and mid-level engineers to enhance team throughput and quality.

• Collaborate with leadership and clients to assess impact and adoption rates.

• Establish or enhance standards and reusable assets that boost delivery speed.

• Lead a multi-stream delivery track, ensuring high quality and building stakeholder trust.

• Mitigate recurring issues through systemic solutions, tests, observability, and templates.

⛳️ Requirements

• 6–8+ years of relevant experience or proven staff-level impact.

• Proven technical leadership across multiple teams or workstreams.

• Strong depth in full-stack architecture, particularly with React/Angular and Python services.

• Leadership in SQL performance optimization.

• A strong governance mindset focused on best practices.

• Proven experience in leading the shipping of production LLM systems, including RAG, tool utilization, and evaluations.

• Engineering governance regarding AI-assisted development, covering verification, secrets/PII, and supply chain aspects.

• Preferred: Experience in high-trust client environments and leading transformation efforts.

• Preferred: Experience in establishing agentic engineering guardrails and templates across teams.

• Nice to have: Expertise in Databricks and/or Snowflake lakehouse/warehouse, including secure patterns, performance, and operational integration with applications/APIs.
