Full Stack Developer, AI-Native

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.

📋 Description

• Develop and sustain both internal and external applications, including the broker portal, dashboards, and workflow tools.

• Create front-end applications utilizing React, Next.js, TypeScript, and Tailwind CSS.

• Take ownership of interaction and visual quality, which encompasses layout, states, empty and error scenarios, responsiveness, and accessibility.

• Build back-end services and APIs with Azure Functions and Node.js/TypeScript, alongside Python or C#/.NET for specific functionalities.

• Engage with Postgres through an ORM, crafting queries and evolving schemas.

• Create AI-driven features with real-time streaming responses, ensuring their accuracy as prompts, models, and knowledge bases evolve.

• Assist in constructing tools that allow AI assistants and agents to securely manage internal systems and data.

• Implement role-based access control, audit logging, and input validation measures.

• Produce tested and reviewed code while adhering to version control, CI/CD, and code review protocols.

• Design and sustain integrations among internal systems, the loan origination system, and third-party e-sign and email platforms.

• Build, monitor, and enhance workflow automations using Azure Logic Apps, Power Automate, and low-code tools.

• Uphold mortgage-industry data governance, security, and compliance standards.

• Manage support tickets, rectify bugs, monitor application performance, and coordinate releases.

• Take end-to-end ownership of assigned issues and remain accountable for delivered results.

• Refresh architecture documentation, API references, diagrams, changelog entries, and release notes.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 3 years in building and deploying web applications, or equivalent demonstrable project experience.

• A portfolio, GitHub profile, work samples, or architecture walkthrough of a proprietary system.

• Capability to articulate the functionality of built systems and the rationale behind design decisions.

• Proficiency with AI coding assistants such as Claude Code, Cursor, Codex, or similar tools, taking full responsibility for the results.

• Comfort in defining feature behavior through test cases and real-world feedback.

• Strong foundation in HTML, CSS, and TypeScript/JavaScript, with practical experience in React.

• Experience with back-end APIs in at least one of Node.js, C#, or Python.

• Competence in SQL and relational schema design; experience with Postgres is ideal.

• Familiarity with Git and pull-request workflows.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills across both technical and business teams.

• Must possess authorization to work in the United States.

• Access to company systems and borrower data is restricted to JMAC-provided, centrally managed equipment only.

• Preferred, but not mandatory: Experience with Next.js App Router, Prisma or another ORM, or Supabase.

• Preferred, but not mandatory: Familiarity with Azure or Vercel.

• Preferred, but not mandatory: Experience with automated testing using Vitest or Jest and CI/CD pipelines.

• Preferred, but not mandatory: Exposure to evaluating LLM or retrieval systems.

• Preferred, but not mandatory: Skills in Python for PDF/document processing or C#/.NET.

• Preferred, but not mandatory: Experience in real-time or streaming UIs using server-sent events, WebSockets, or similar technologies.

• Preferred, but not mandatory: Background in mortgage, fintech, or regulated industries, or a strong desire to learn about the domain.
