Fulfillment Generalist – Part-Time, Contract

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Massachusetts.

📋 Description

• Oversee the shipment process of products from the time an order is placed until delivery.

• Monitor data and foresee potential issues to ensure a smooth customer experience.

• Collaborate across departments at ButcherBox to address and resolve challenges.

• Supervise member order fulfillment by guaranteeing daily order distribution to fulfillment centers.

• Engage and communicate regularly with fulfillment centers to assess operations, order processing, plan deviations, and any issues that arise.

• Serve as the primary contact and owner for fulfillment centers.

• Monitor fulfillment KPIs and work towards enhancements in collaboration with fulfillment centers.

• Manage the queue of member order fulfillment in accordance with ButcherBox distribution guidelines.

• Process product substitutions in line with ButcherBox's substitution policies.

• Analyze fulfillment rates against backlog and report on, as well as adjust for, any fulfillment shortages.

• Assist in reconciling invoiced costs with anticipated costs and ensure alignment with key performance metrics.

• Engage with customers and suppliers, addressing inquiries and resolving issues.

• Coordinate weekly carrier optimization efforts in conjunction with the Logistics team.

• Monitor actual delivery times in comparison to expected times and assist in resolving carrier network challenges.

• Communicate operations and logistics concerns with the Customer Support and Customer Experience teams.

• Oversee inventory levels alongside Operations team members to ensure sufficient stock is maintained.

• Available weekdays starting at 4:00 AM EST.

• Previous experience with third-party logistics (3PLs) or in a direct-to-consumer fulfillment setting (preferred).

• Knowledge of e-commerce operations, inventory management systems, and order management platforms (preferred).

• Familiarity with quality assurance methods and cost optimization techniques (preferred).

• Experience in collaborating with engineering or technical teams to enhance operational tools (preferred).
