Fuel Yard Operator – Federal Operations, Maintenance

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in South Carolina.

📋 Description

• Carry out daily operations, which include maintaining logs for the fuel yard, boilers, and turbine generator.

• Execute housekeeping tasks, basic care routes, and preventive maintenance for power plant equipment.

• Operate heavy machinery such as bobcat, forklift, front-end loader, and Lull.

• Control the operations of a Stacker–Reclaimer.

• Manage power plant equipment both in the field and the control room through the DCS.

• Ensure adherence to safety standards, practices, and codes set by the company, industry, regulatory bodies, and jurisdictional authorities.

• Maintain environmental compliance in designated areas.

• Undertake additional responsibilities as necessary.

⛳️ Requirements

• High School diploma or GED is required.

• At least 2 years of experience in operating and troubleshooting industrial equipment.

• Must be eligible to obtain and retain an entry badge for the Savannah River Site.

• Capability to successfully complete training and testing requirements for the position.

• Basic computer proficiency, including email and data entry using Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel.

• Valid Driver's License from the state of residence, in good standing.

• Availability for 'on-call' support or a flexible schedule as needed.

• Ability to lift up to 75 lbs and move equipment and tools exceeding 300 lbs.

• Competence in regularly climbing ladders, traversing sloped ramps, and working on elevated platforms.

• Willingness to work rotating shifts, including days, nights, weekends, and holidays.

• Experience in a power plant setting is preferred.
