Frontend Specialist – Design System

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Brazil.

📋 Description

• Lead the Design System team in a technical capacity, aiming to enhance the efficiency of Product teams while ensuring a uniform experience across both web and mobile platforms.

• Promote widespread usage of the Design System, bridging design to code across Figma, React, and Flutter.

• Plan and coordinate releases, maintaining a balanced rhythm that aligns the needs of Product teams with the design and frontend processes of the Design System.

• Facilitate smooth InnerSource contributions, establishing clear governance that is mutually understood by Product and Design System teams, while adhering to design and engineering quality standards.

• Collaborate with the team to develop components, templates, and architectural enhancements for the Design System, and establish standards in conjunction with designers and frontend developers.

• Create and update documentation to support the independent adoption and contribution of Product teams.

• Act as a technical reference for frontend development, serving as the main point of contact for communication with other departments and identifying emerging needs within Product teams.

⛳️ Requirements

• Background in software engineering, frontend development, and Design Systems.

• Practical experience with design tokens and themes to maintain UI consistency.

• Demonstrated experience in building and managing shared component and template libraries, as well as Design Systems at scale.

• Strong expertise in React and Flutter, along with a solid understanding of the technologies within each ecosystem.

• Proficiency in using Storybook (React) and Widgetbook (Flutter) for component documentation and testing.

• Comprehensive knowledge of web and mobile platform standards and accessibility guidelines.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, capable of conveying ideas effectively to teams from diverse backgrounds.
