Frontend Software Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Argentina.

📋 Description

• Create and deliver user-facing interfaces throughout the platform, which includes device screens utilized in the operating room as well as internal tools for engineering and research teams.

• Develop visualization tools that transform surgical video, medical imaging, and model output into actionable insights for clinicians and researchers.

• Establish reusable components and front-end patterns to facilitate team-wide UI development.

• Integrate front-end applications with APIs and real-time data streams from edge devices.

• Enhance the reliability and responsiveness of applications that manage dense, high-stakes data.

• Contribute to regulatory-grade development processes, documentation, and traceability standards for medical software.

• Deliver reusable UI components and establish front-end patterns within the first 3–6 months.

• Provide an interface for visualizing intricate surgical or imaging data based on real user feedback.

• Gain fluency in platform APIs and real-time edge-device integrations.

• Participate in code reviews, testing practices, regulatory documentation, and traceability efforts.

• Collaborate effectively with software, computer vision, machine learning, modeling, and design colleagues.

⛳️ Requirements

• A Bachelor's degree in computer science, software engineering, or equivalent demonstrated experience.

• Over 2 years of professional experience in building front-end software applications, through internships, or significant personal projects.

• Proficiency in JavaScript or TypeScript using a modern framework such as React, Vue, or Angular.

• Strong understanding of component-based architecture, state management, and responsive UI development.

• Experience in integrating front-end applications with APIs and backend services.

• Familiarity with Git and collaborative development workflows.

• Excellent communication skills across technical disciplines, and adaptability to a fast-paced, evolving environment.

• Experience with real-time data, video, or scientific visualization, including WebGL or Three.js (preferred).

• Knowledge of desktop frameworks such as Electron, Tauri, or Qt (preferred).

• Exposure to medical devices, healthcare software, or other regulated software environments (preferred).

• Familiarity with Python or Python-based backend systems (preferred).

• Fluent and proficient spoken and written English for client-facing interactions.
