Frontend Engineer, React, .NET

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United Kingdom.

📋 Description

• Develop production-ready React screens from start to finish, incorporating data service layers, Redux state management, UI components, and tests using Playwright and axe-core.

• Design responsive layouts for screen sizes of 1280, 1440, and 1920px utilizing MUI X DataGrid, Trimble Maps SDK, and the unified design system.

• Connect CloudHub, OData, and CloudHub Connector APIs with client SQL databases through tenant-routing gateways.

• Create backend services to enable React screens to replicate the functionality of the current Fuel Dispatch on-premise application.

• Present functional, tested features to stakeholders on a weekly basis every Friday.

• Collaborate with the embedded generalist on pull-request reviews, accessibility assessments, and ensuring test coverage.

• Uphold CI/CD practices with a deployable main branch, feature-specific pull requests, and weekly demonstration tags.

• Develop drag-and-drop planning interfaces, real-time map synchronization, threshold-based alerts, and inline validation engines.

• Enhance dispatcher workflows using keyboard navigation, WCAG accessibility standards, loading skeletons, and actionable error notifications.

• Optimize performance of data grids through server-side pagination and column virtualization techniques.

• Employ Cursor and AI coding assistants for development tasks, test scaffolding, and code refactoring.

• Contribute to the establishment of shared development patterns, component libraries, and the ongoing evolution of the design system.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 3 years of experience in building production React applications with TypeScript.

• Strong proficiency in component architecture and clean prop contracts.

• Solid experience in proper state management techniques.

• Familiarity with data-intensive user interfaces, including grids, tables, filters, server-side pagination, and real-time updates.

• Experience in integrating REST/OData APIs.

• Proficient in CSS and styling, particularly with responsive layouts and integration of design systems.

• Fluency in Git workflows, including trunk-based development, managing feature branches, maintaining a clean commit history, and conducting PR reviews.

• Capability to work effectively in a pair-squad model.

• Experience with drag-and-drop implementation is a plus.

• Familiarity with Cursor or AI coding assistants is advantageous.

• Knowledge of the MUI component library and theming is beneficial.

• Experience in modernizing legacy desktop applications is an additional advantage.

• A background in .NET/C# OData APIs is useful.

• Knowledge of the logistics, transportation, or energy sectors is a bonus.
