Frontend Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Ohio.

📋 Description

• Create innovative product experiences by transforming Figma designs and product specifications into features utilizing React and TypeScript.

• Contribute to the establishment of frontend architecture, design patterns, and a reusable component library for the new platform.

• Integrate with GraphQL APIs through Apollo Client and manage client-side state as well as caching.

• Develop reliable tests using React Testing Library and Cypress.

• Assist in maintaining the CircleCI CI/CD pipeline.

• Take responsibility for frontend performance, accessibility, observability, logging, session replay, and cross-browser compatibility.

• Collaborate within an agile team, conduct code reviews, and enhance frontend standards across engineering.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 3 years of experience in developing single-page applications (SPAs) with React and TypeScript.

• Strong skills in CSS and a keen eye for detail and user experience (UX).

• Proficient in client-side state management and data-fetching using Apollo Client and GraphQL.

• Familiarity with testing frameworks, particularly React Testing Library and Cypress.

• A solid understanding of asynchronous patterns and frontend performance optimization.

• Experience with modern build tools, including Webpack, Babel, ESLint, and Docker containers.

• Knowledge of integrating frontend logging and session replay tools.

• Experience with engineering collaboration tools such as Jira and Confluence.

• Must reside in the US and possess the right to work within the country.

• Prior experience in healthcare, life sciences, or other regulated sectors.

• Background working in a Scrum methodology.

• Understanding of common design libraries, preferably MUI.

• Practical experience with Claude Code and agentic programming workflows, utilizing AI coding agents for planning, building, testing, and reviewing code, demonstrating sound judgment regarding quality.
