Frontend Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Georgia.

📋 Description

• Design and maintain Keet Desktop, a cross-platform P2P communication application.

• Implement user interface and user experience using React on the Pear runtime.

• Enhance application performance for better user experience.

• Contribute to the evolution of decentralized communication technologies.

• Collaborate on a P2P development platform that supports direct deployment and data replication without relying on conventional server infrastructure.

⛳️ Requirements

• Demonstrated experience with React/Preact and modern JavaScript/TypeScript in production-level applications.

• Strong proficiency in state management techniques (Redux, Redux Toolkit, Zustand, or similar).

• Capability to write modular, maintainable, and well-tested code.

• Robust skill set in testing and debugging complex frontend applications.

• Deep interest or experience in P2P technologies or distributed systems.

• Comfort with working in a remote, globally distributed environment.

• Effective communication skills.

• Excellent proficiency in English communication.

• Preferred: experience in desktop application development (Electron, Tauri, or similar runtimes).

• Preferred: familiarity with video/audio APIs (WebRTC, media streams) and real-time communication.

• Preferred: proven ability to optimize UI performance, including rendering and memory management.

• Preferred: experience in building cross-platform applications (macOS, Windows, Linux, etc.).

• Bonus: previous contributions to open-source projects, particularly in P2P or decentralized technologies.
