Frontend Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Tunisia.

📋 Description

• Construct and enhance user identity verification processes, emphasizing performance, responsiveness, accessibility, poor network conditions, and error handling.

• Design and sustain both client-facing and internal administrative interfaces for managing the fraud-prevention platform.

• Incorporate evolving backend APIs into robust frontend workflows while identifying contract discrepancies.

• Make architectural choices regarding component structure, state and data flow, testing, and maintainability.

• Collaborate with Product and Design teams to assess technical feasibility and implementation trade-offs.

• Take ownership of features from implementation through to delivery, ensuring reliability and technical excellence.

• Report directly to the Frontend Lead.

• Contribute to the development of Surt's expanding fraud-prevention and identity platform.

⛳️ Requirements

• Extensive hands-on experience in building and deploying production web applications using React.

• Capability to independently deliver dependable, production-ready features from vague problems or incomplete designs.

• Strong judgment regarding state management, API integration, performance, edge cases, and interface quality.

• Excellent communication skills and a collaborative mindset towards design or API decisions.

• Keen attention to user experience.

• A strong sense of ownership, curiosity, and a desire to contribute to a dynamic product and engineering environment.

• Familiarity with React Native or React Native Web is a plus.

• Experience in creating consumer-facing flows, client portals, or operational dashboards is advantageous.

• A degree in software engineering from INSAT or a similar engineering institution is beneficial but not mandatory.

• Equivalent practical experience is also welcomed.

• Ability to quickly learn and adapt to the technology stack.
