Frontend Developer, React.js

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Egypt.

📋 Description

• Develop and sustain contemporary web applications utilizing React.js

• Create reusable, scalable, and maintainable UI components

• Connect frontend applications with REST APIs and microservices

• Collaborate with backend teams on API specifications, authentication, error management, and service integrations

• Implement application state management utilizing Redux / Redux Toolkit or other suitable solutions

• Design responsive and mobile-optimized interfaces

• Adhere to modern frontend architecture and development best practices

• Enhance page load times, rendering performance, application performance, and bundle size

• Establish loading, error, empty, and success states

• Manage authentication and authorization processes, including token-based authentication

• Handle asynchronous API calls and server-side data management

• Produce clean, reusable, modular, and well-documented code

• Engage in code reviews and contribute to frontend coding standards

• Diagnose and resolve frontend bugs and production challenges

• Partner with QA engineers to ensure reliable releases

• Utilize Git-based development workflows and engage in pull requests and code reviews

• Contribute to the evolution of frontend architecture

• Collaborate with backend engineers, product managers, designers, and QA engineers to create maintainable, user-friendly applications

⛳️ Requirements

• Proven hands-on experience with React.js and large-scale React applications

• Solid understanding of functional components, React Hooks, component lifecycle, props and state, Context API, custom Hooks, and reusable component design

• Extensive experience with Redux / Redux Toolkit and asynchronous state/API data

• Strong knowledge of JavaScript (ES6+)

• Good grasp of TypeScript

• Experience in modern CSS, responsive design, and component-based UI development

• Familiarity with frontend architecture, design patterns, code splitting, lazy loading, caching, and performance optimization

• Experience with modern build tools such as Vite, Webpack, or similar

• Experience in integrating React applications with microservices-based backend systems

• Strong understanding of REST APIs and JSON

• Familiarity with API authentication, authorization, HTTP methods and status codes, error handling, pagination, filtering and sorting, file uploads, and webhooks/events

• Capability to work with multiple backend services/APIs within a single frontend application

• Understanding of service boundaries and distributed backend systems

• Strong knowledge of HTML5, CSS3, and responsive design

• Experience with Tailwind CSS, Bootstrap, or Material UI

• Ability to translate UI/UX designs into clean, responsive implementations

• Understanding of accessibility and cross-browser compatibility

• Extensive experience with Git and GitHub/GitLab/Bitbucket

• Familiarity with feature branches, pull requests, code reviews, merge conflicts, and release workflows

• Strong problem-solving and debugging abilities

• Good communication and collaboration skills

• Capacity to work independently as well as part of a team

• Keen attention to detail

• Ability to convert business requirements into technical solutions

• Willingness to learn new technologies and modern development methodologies

• Comfort working in a fast-paced product development environment

• Familiarity with React Query / TanStack Query is a plus

• Understanding of CI/CD workflows is a plus

• Nice-to-have: Next.js, production TypeScript, WebSockets, Micro Frontends, Storybook, frontend testing, Docker, AWS, observability, and Agile/Scrum experience
