Front-End Developer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Develop and manage public-facing websites, microsites, and landing pages.

• Partner with the lead developer, IT, MarTech, and UX/UI design teams.

• Validate the technical feasibility of designs and convert them into refined, responsive pages.

• Create and sustain custom WordPress themes utilizing both modern block-based and classic PHP-template frameworks.

• Collaborate on coding standards, tools, and workflows.

• Assist in transitioning existing sites to the standardized modern WordPress framework.

• Remain updated on emerging web standards and suggest relevant enhancements.

• Take ownership of tasks with minimal procedural overhead while maintaining each brand's distinct identity.

• Utilize AI coding tools appropriately for research, scaffolding, reviews, and routine tasks while being accountable for the final code delivered.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 4 years of experience in front-end web development.

• Proficient in semantic HTML, CSS, JavaScript, PHP, and WordPress.

• Capability to create a custom WordPress theme from scratch using PHP templates and Advanced Custom Fields.

• Strong CSS skills in both Sass and modern native CSS (custom properties, nesting).

• Solid understanding of vanilla JavaScript.

• Familiarity with Git/GitHub, including pull requests and code reviews.

• Experience with npm-based build tools and command line operations.

• Ability to write semantic, well-structured HTML that addresses accessibility, reuse, cross-browser compatibility, performance, and SEO principles.

• Experience in building and testing HTML emails.

• Strong sensibility for UX/UI design.

• A proactive, self-directed approach to work with the ability to prioritize multiple projects.

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

• Must have legal authorization to work in the US.

• A bachelor's degree is preferred; relevant professional experience is also considered.

• Bonus skills include modern WordPress block development, Composer, Bedrock, Roots tooling, Vite, CI/CD with GitHub Actions, WCAG, ARIA, assistive technology testing, Salesforce, Pardot/Account Engagement, multilingual WordPress sites, React or Vue, UX/UI design, Figma, and Adobe Creative Suite.

• Ability to independently write, review, debug, and explain production code, including without AI assistance during interviews.
