Front-End Developer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Colorado.

📋 Description

• Design, improve, and sustain front-end geospatial web applications.

• Implement and tailor mapping features utilizing the ArcGIS JavaScript API 4.x.

• Work closely with back-end developers, analysts, and GIS experts to integrate spatial data and services.

• Diagnose and enhance front-end performance, usability, and map rendering dynamics.

• Assist with MS SQL Server ETL processes, which includes comprehending existing data pipelines and making necessary modifications.

• Engage in code reviews, architectural discussions, and adopt best-practice development methodologies.

• Create technical documentation for applications, workflows, and data handling procedures.

⛳️ Requirements

• A bachelor’s degree in a relevant field along with over 4 years of experience.

• Proven experience in writing clean, modular, and well-organized JavaScript.

• Experience in designing applications using Vanilla JavaScript without relying on heavy frameworks.

• Practical experience in developing geospatial applications with ArcGIS JS API 4.x.

• Familiarity with SQL Server ETL workflows and the capability to modify or maintain existing processes.

• Experience with version control systems like Git.

• Knowledge of contemporary web technologies including HTML5, CSS3, Webpack, and Node.js.

• Ability to work collaboratively in a team setting and communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

• Strong problem-solving abilities and a keen attention to detail.
