French Teacher – Part-Time, Adult Learners

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California, +8 more states.

📋 Description

• Instruct adult professionals in French and English or Spanish through dynamic small-group classes.

• Deliver organized communicative lessons utilizing an immersive language learning platform.

• Assist learners in navigating practical scenarios including meetings, travel, cafés, and professional communication.

• Offer constructive feedback on pronunciation, grammar, and overall fluency.

• Facilitate 40-minute instructional sessions.

• Maintain proactive communication with the instructional team.

• Teach motivated adult learners in groups of up to 12 participants.

• Ensure consistent weekly availability during the key hours of 11:00am–8:00pm Eastern Time, including weekends.

⛳️ Requirements

• BA in French, English, or Spanish Language, Education, Applied Linguistics, or a closely related discipline OR a Bachelor's degree with French and/or English/Spanish teaching certification and significant teaching experience.

• At least 2 years of experience in structured French and English or Spanish language instruction.

• Background in teaching adult learners in groups of 8 or more.

• Strong understanding of communicative or task-based language teaching methodologies.

• Proven ability to intentionally develop speaking and listening skills.

• Advanced proficiency in French and English or Spanish (C1 CEFR or ACTFL Advanced High).

• If teaching French and Spanish (excluding English), a minimum B2-level proficiency in English is required.

• Comfortable with technology and adept at learning new platforms.

• Organized, dependable, and professional in demeanor.

• Consistent weekly availability is essential.

• Must have a Windows 10 or 11 (64-bit) PC.

• Processor requirements: Intel i5-1135G7 / AMD Ryzen 5 5500U or superior.

• Graphics requirements: Intel Iris Xe / AMD Vega 7 or better.

• 8GB RAM is necessary.

• 10GB of available storage space is required.

• An Ethernet connection is mandatory; Wi-Fi-only setups will not be supported.

• Minimum internet speed of 50 Mbps download / 20 Mbps upload is required.

• A wired headset with a built-in microphone is essential.
