French Teacher

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Deliver designated French course content within an online setting.

• Offer both synchronous and asynchronous instruction, along with support and guidance.

• Oversee the learning process and customize learning experiences for students.

• Track student progress using Stride K12's learning management system.

• Maintain regular communication with students and their parents or learning coaches.

• Tailor instruction according to student mastery levels.

• Enhance course content utilizing approved asynchronous and synchronous tools.

• Manage the grade book and uphold student academic integrity.

• Make decisions regarding student placement and promotion.

• Notify administrators about any concerns regarding student performance and progress.

• Prepare students for significant standardized tests.

• Assist parents and learning coaches with curricular, instructional, and basic virtual classroom troubleshooting.

• Travel approximately once a month or 20% of the time for professional development, student testing, and other school obligations.

⛳️ Requirements

• French teaching certification for grades 8-12.

• If certification is from a different state, obtain Indiana reciprocity within 60 days of employment.

• Residency in Indiana is required.

• Bachelor's degree is necessary.

• Active state teaching license is required.

• Ability to pass the required background check.

• Capability to work independently, typically 40+ hours per week.

• Ability to maintain a distraction-free professional home office during working hours.

• Commitment to maintaining teacher certification/professional development hours and fluency in K12 systems, programs, and curriculum.
