French Language Expert – Freelance AI Trainer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Engage in conversations with language models in French as utilized in Haiti and French Guiana across a diverse array of subjects.

• Ensure linguistic precision and cultural appropriateness.

• Capture replicable error traces.

• Propose enhancements for prompt engineering and evaluation metrics.

• Test advanced language models on colloquial language, contextual understanding, tone adaptation, syntactic accuracy, and semantic clarity.

• Record model failure modes to enhance model reasoning.

⛳️ Requirements

• Proficiency in the French language specifically pertaining to Haiti and French Guiana.

• Deep understanding of grammar, orthography, regional nuances, intonation patterns, idiomatic phrases, and cultural references.

• Capability to assess colloquial usage, contextual interpretation, tone adaptation, syntactic precision, and semantic accuracy.

• Skill in documenting model failure modes and capturing reproducible error traces.

• Professional experience in education, translation, localization, or editorial roles is advantageous.

• Strong metacognitive communication skills and the ability to demonstrate your thought process.

• A Master’s degree in Linguistics, Translation, French Language, Literature, or a related discipline is preferred.
