French – Kinyarwanda VRI/OPI Interpretation

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants anywhere in the world.

📋 Description

• Respond to calls in a professional manner, adhering to the Interpreter's code of ethics.

• Always be ready to take notes during calls.

• Familiarize yourself with the specific terminology relevant to the industry in which the interpreter operates, particularly in healthcare and medical fields.

• Ensure that all messages are conveyed accurately and completely, without any additions, omissions, or substitutions.

• Deliver exceptional customer service throughout the interpreting process.

• Facilitate effective communication between clients with Limited French Proficiency and the Client by providing precise and comprehensive interpretation of the messages.

• Adhere to established standards of practice.

• Participate in internal professional development training.

• Be enthusiastic about obtaining new professional certifications.

• Maintain communication and provide updates to your team leader.

• Follow dress code guidelines for video remote interpreting.

⛳️ Requirements

• Proficient in the source language (French).

• Native speaker of the target language "Kinyarwanda."

• Minimum of 1 year of telephone interpretation experience with a reputable interpretation company.

• Strong understanding of medical terminology.

• Familiarity with legal terminology is an advantage.

• International certifications in the healthcare field are a plus (such as PICSI, ALTA, HIPAA, etc.).

• High school diploma in your native language.

• Possess high emotional intelligence and an appreciation for diverse cultures.

• Excellent communication, listening, note-taking, and memory retention abilities.
