French – Haitian Creole VRI/OPI Interpretation

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants anywhere in the world.

📋 Description

• Respond to calls in a professional manner, adhering to the Interpreter's code of conduct.

• Always be prepared to take notes during a call.

• Possess knowledge of the specific vocabulary relevant to the industry, particularly healthcare and medical sectors.

• Deliver messages accurately and completely, refraining from adding, omitting, or substituting any content.

• Provide exemplary customer service throughout the interpreting process.

• Facilitate communication between Limited French Proficient individuals and clients by ensuring accurate and complete interpretation of messages.

• Adhere to established standards of practice.

• Participate in internal professional training programs.

• Demonstrate a willingness to obtain new professional certifications.

• Maintain communication and provide reports to your team leader.

• Follow dress code requirements for video remote interpreting.

⛳️ Requirements

• Fluent in the source language (French) and a native speaker of the target language "Haitian Creole."

• At least 1 year of experience in over-the-telephone interpretation with a reputable interpretation company.

• Strong understanding of medical terminology.

• Familiarity with legal terminology is advantageous.

• International certifications in the healthcare field are a plus (such as PICSI, ALTA, HIPAA, etc.).

• High school diploma in your native language.

• High emotional intelligence and an appreciation for diverse cultures.

• Excellent communication, listening, note-taking, and memory retention skills.
