Freeride Skiing Pro Team Head Coach – Contractor

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Utah.

📋 Description

• Provide technical guidance and leadership for the Freeride Pro Team.

• Organize and conduct team training sessions and camps.

• Perform video analysis and facilitate high-performance requirements.

• Develop competition schedules and strategies.

• Handle logistics for all team athletes.

• Set technical, physical, and mental objectives with each athlete.

• Create, monitor, and revise Athlete Development Plans throughout the season.

• Design and oversee the travel, training, and competition schedule for the Freeride Pro Team.

• Accompany athletes during travel to assist with any in-transit requirements as necessary.

• Establish and manage the selection criteria for the Freeride Team.

• Educate and communicate the selection criteria to team athletes, clubs, academies, regional programs, parents, and other stakeholders.

• Oversee travel expenses and develop project sheets estimating costs for each athlete.

• Communicate, monitor, and balance project expenses through monthly reports with the Team Manager and Sport Director.

⛳️ Requirements

• Extensive travel is necessary.

• A minimum of 5+ years of coaching experience in a high-level domestic program or elite-level international program is required.

• Level 300 Coaches Certification is preferred.

• Strong understanding of the technical aspects of coaching Freeride skiing athletes.

• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.

• Capability to manage projects independently or in collaboration with other coaches/programs.

• Proficient in accounting and budget management.

• Computer proficiency, including Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and video review/editing software.

• Strong winter driving abilities.

• Recommended to have the ability to operate a manual transmission.

• Must be capable of skiing to and from training and course venues.

• Ability to access all areas of a Freeride Course Venue.

• Must be able to drive long distances globally with athletes.

• The contractor must accept the risks associated with working in extreme weather conditions and deliver services accordingly.
